Ubicod Co., Ltd., the home network solution provider, was founded by
professionals in the IPTV and multimedia industry in June 2005.
Our business field is IPTV/DTV STB and home network solution including
new media service which is UTV (Ubiquitous TV).
A firm belief in the convergence of the information systems and the conventional
home appliances is the heart of Ubicod 's philosophy. For this reason, the
company has devoted its efforts in developing standard digital products
within MPEG, DVB, DLNA, and other standard bodies, with the goal of promoting interactivity of equipment and becoming a part of the explosive demand for true multimedia solutions for the home consumer market. UTV service indicates the future trend of home network service. We predict that UTV service will be major application of home network market within 2-3 years. UTV player will change the paradigm of set-top-box and media service.
The CEO of Ubicod, Dr. Kim, developed and commercialized the world-first IPTV STB in 2000 and launched the commercial IPTV service in Japan in 2001.
